The Dubbo Show 2010

This weekend was show weekend. As a child show weekend came second only to Christmas. Naturally I have been quite excited myself about enjoying this event through the eyes of a child. We didn't stay long, only 3 hours and $100..
This year was a bit of a family event, my parents came with us and so did my brother and his girlfriend, who made excellent ride chaperons, for my thrill seeking boy.

The floor sander man, a family friend, comes on friday to polish the floors, which Despite their appearance here, are actually in fantastic condition and should come up great!

The Quilt Top

Here is the quilt top for Bryn's bed, complete and ready for quilting.... I am still not Entirely happy with it... But Bryn loves it. so that is the main thing.

Vivi victory....

well I did it. My vivian is done, you would think that I would show you pics to prove it. but I can't. As it happens, I suck SUCK at putting zippers in, so it has been shipped off to nanna for the zipper addition, pictures when it returns... for now I have huge to do list... will list it soon..... when I am in a braver mood ;d

This is a public announcement...

.... That I currently have no knitting project on the needles so this is the time to finish my Vivian... so..

" I solemnly swear that (who are the nerds who finished this sentence with "I am up to no good"?) that I will not knit a single stitch on any project besides my Vivian until it is complete and finished to the point of wearing"

this is a big call for me... I will dig vivi out tonight... and share where I am up to... I cant actually remember....

40 blocks..

... all done and dusted...

I made 40 cos thats how many diferent prints came in the charm pack and jelly roll...

the quilt will only need 20 something...

I will put black sashing between each block with coloured corner stones... the border is still under mental creation....

My test harry square is complete.....

I am relatively happy with it and enjoyed it enough to do a complete blanket...

I leanrt alot of things doing this... and glad I took the time to do a test square to make some mistakes on..

Needles - 4.5mm

Yarn - assortment to get correct shadings

Yardage - not sure .. about 150-180gms

finished size - 38cm square

I am not sure what I will do with this.. It wont make the cut for the blanket and I am not into cushions or framing it...

A fun knit all the same, anyone who hasnt tried colour work...WHY? its actually quite easy and fun
