February lady SOCK - Pattern
This is the pattern for the sock/s I have made from the lace pattern used here.
please note, I am most defiantely NOT a pattern writter, just doing my best here :S
Supplies
4mm DPNs
4mm 30cm circulars
4mm 30cm circulars
Darning needle
stitch markers
Yarn
I have used Knittery 8ply superwash
Gauge
22 stitches by 30 rows
Pattern
Using your prefered stretchy cast on, co 42 stitches onto the DPNs, place stitch marker.
Rib
working in circular,work either a k1,p1, or k2,p1 rib (which ever you prefer) for 4-5cm, or what ever length you like. change to 30cm circluars
Lace pattern
round 1: k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1. Repeat around.
rounds 2 & 4: knit
round 3: k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk. Repeat around.
round 1: k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1. Repeat around.
rounds 2 & 4: knit
round 3: k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk. Repeat around.
Work lace pattern for 6 inches, or what ever length you wish the ankle of your sock to be finishing at the end of round 4
Heel flap
working over 21 stitches(3 pattern repeats) knit the following..
1. (s1, k1) 10 times, k1, turn
2. s1, p20 turn
repeat these rows 10@ (11 times in total)
Heel short rows
1. s1, k12, ssk, k1, turn
2. s1 purlwise, p6, p2tog, p1, turn
3. s1, k7, ssk, k1, turn
4. s1 purlwise, p8, p2tog, p1, turn
5. s1, k9, ssk, k1, turn
6. s1 purlwise, p10, p2tog, p1, turn
7. s1, k13
picking up heel stitches.
Along the edge of the heel flap pick up 11 stitches, place stitch marker (marker 1).
knit the next 21 stitches in the lace pattern starting at round 1, (oringal marker, should be here, this will become marker2). you will continue to knit these 21 stitches in the lace pattern.
pick up another 11 stitches along the 2 side of the heel flap. and knit to marker 1.
stitches should now be,
21 stitches across the top of the foot (lace pattern)
37 across sole and heel.
heel gusset
1. work lace pattern to marker2, k2, k2tog, k to 4 stitches before marker1, ssk, k2.
2. work lace pattern to marker2, k to marker1
repeat these rounds untill 40 stitches remain in total, 21 on the top of the foot and 19 on the sole.
foot
continue working in the lace pattern on top and stocking stitch on the sole until the length is 2 inches shorter then that of your foot, finishing on row 4 of the lace pattern
toe.
change stitches from 30cm circs back onto DPNs, with stitch markers still inplace at each end of the lace pattern begin toe decreases, starting from marker 1 (end of lace pattern)
1. k1, k2tog, k to 3 stitches before marker2, ssk, k1, slip marker, k2tog, k to 2 stitches before marker1, ssk.
2. k all stitches.
repeat these rows untill there are only 8 stitches between markers (16 total)
Finish
Using darning needle close toe usin kitchener stitch, run all threads in and block... repeat if not too distracted by other patterns :D

so following my previous post...
.. I began the dress last night
winged it and it turned out ok so far..
the bust is together but just pinned to the skirt and without lining. I think i will bone it as it is a little droopy in the bust, boning should fixed that.
I may need to wear a sucker inner-er for the bulge factor.. lol
Also not sure if I want the skirt to be pleated or gathered.

WE have a wedding to go to this coming weekend, I have no pattern or any idea what i actually want. But this is the fabricc, shoes and cincher i have to use... stay tuned, will see what I can come up with
